Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the principle that the foot has “reflex” points that correspond to various structures and organs through your body.  It is a healing process that can be safely used when it is not convenient to treat other body parts.  A Reflexology treatment can facilitate relief for: stress, digestive disorders, menopausal symptoms, migraines, pre-menstrual syndrome and other menstrual irregularities and back and neck pain.

Reflexology sessions are with Eva, Isabel or Margie only.

Pregnancy Massage

Massage can ease a lot of discomfort pregnancy can bring such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and oedema (or swelling). In addition, massage reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes. Our therapists take extra care to ensure our prenatal clients are comfortable. Sideline positioning with supportive pillows are used which alleviates the extra strain on the lower back and pelvic areas. Women with normal pregnancies can benefit greatly from this treatment after their first trimester up to their final weeks before giving birth.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points are described as hyper-irritable spots in muscle tissue that refer pain to other parts of the body. Your therapist deactivates these points and elongates the structures affected. The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries while increasing range of motion, flexibility and circulation.

Oncology Massage

Oncology massage is used in combination with conventional cancer treatments. The soft massage techniques aim to treat the whole body not only the symptoms of the disease. It may help to reduce side effects such as pain, fatigue, nausea, anxiety and bring reassurance and support. Lymphatic massage techniques are also used to reduce lymphedema after surgery or radiotherapy of the lymph nodes.

Oncology sessions are available with Aria only.

Neurokinetic Therapy®

NeuroKinetic Therapy® is a corrective movement system that addresses the cause of pain – dysfunctional movement patterns stored in the brain. Pain and restrictions are a sign of the muscles not working optimally. They are compensating for inhibited muscles. NKT retrains the muscles through the nervous system through movement assessment, muscle testing and correctives. Shorts and a t-shirt are best to wear to a session but comfortable and loose clothing is fine.

NKT sessions are available with Jacqueline only.
