Eva used to have a massage and beauty business in Ghongzhou, China. She was an avid badminton player when she was younger. Knee problems led her to treat her injuries with Chiropractors and Traditional Chinese Medicine.  This piqued her interest in bodywork.  She decided to come to Australia five years ago to continue her studies.

She incorporates Remedial massage with the Traditional Chinese techniques in her treatments.  She enjoys furthering her education and the Australian lifestyle.

Hiroko (Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat)

Hiroko previously studied rhythmic gymnastics, ballet and contemporary
dance for over 10 years in Japan. After experiencing many injuries, she became
curious to learn about the human body and how to rehabilitate it.  She became a Pilates Instructor teaching
Reformer group and Mat classes and private one on one sessions.

 This was the start of a new passion which led her
to branch out into Remedial Massage. This enabled her to pursue her passion of helping
people in pain and suffering from injuries. Hiroko takes a holistic approach to
her treatments, using her experience and knowledge to treat and assist with
recovery of her clients.

 

Isabel Gaiton

Isabel has been doing Remedial Massage Therapy for over 15 years. She studied 3 years full time at TAFE NSW and accomplished her Diploma of Health Science in Massage Therapy and from these studies she acquired knowledge on Nutrition, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. She also studied 2 years full time midwifery at UTS and although ultimately, she returned to massage therapy, the practice she always felt drawn to, the gains from these studies are of great benefit for her pregnancy massage treatments.

In more recent years she has trained in Myofascial Cupping and Kinesiology Taping techniques that she may use and combine with her remedial, trigger point therapy, sport or relaxation massage to tailor an individualized session for her clients.

She is also a qualified Yoga teacher and used her expertise to recommend mobility exercises to her clients to help them maintain and enhance the benefits of their massage.

In her free time you will find Isabel out walking her 4 pugs!

Jacqueline grew up in Canada and started long distance running at a young age. As a result of her constant training and tennis playing, she frequently had injuries which brought her to see different soft tissue therapists where her interest in bodywork started. She also has a background in Nursing, has worked at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies supervising Massage students in the clinic and now teaches Beginner Massage Courses for Sydney Community College. Her 20+ years of experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist led her to open Haikoo Massage & Float.

She does Neurokinetic Therapy treatments which combines movement assessment, motor control theory and manual muscle testing. NKT identifies the cause of pain and dysfunctional movement patterns and works to reprogram these dysfunctions. To check her availability, please call the clinic on 8068 1809.

Lili has a firm remedial style which she mixes with relaxation techniques. Her interest in remedial massage came about during her work as a receptionist at Haikoo. After experiencing so many high quality treatments and seeing the results firsthand and from clients, she decided to study herself. We're proud to have Lili finish at the top of her class!

Her lifestyle revolves around wellness. You'll find Lili training at the gym or running and then recovering with ice baths, sauna or massage.

Lou has an interest in treating clients with chronic conditions for pain management. Having experienced
this firsthand, she’s very tuned in to what clients need. She’s worked with clients who suffer from Lupus, MS, endometriosis, respiratory and autoimmune conditions. Some of her clients see her for a lymphatic drainage treatment post-surgery.  

Lou has also worked with various
sporting teams and athletes including rugby league, soccer, MMA and Ironman competitors. She can tailor your treatment whether you need to increase your mobility, a sports massage, or just a maintenance treatment.  She strongly believes that athletes that get a pre-event massage can help reduce their risk of injuries.  

In her spare time, Lou enjoys the
Bondi to Coogee coastal walk and swimming in the ocean when it’s not too cold!

Margie (Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri)

Margie is originally from New Zealand; she is friendly, authentic and has a beautiful healing energy.  Margie specializes in Deep Tissue, Remedial and Pregnancy Massage.  Her experience working with an Osteopath for the past 4 years has allowed her to quickly recognise the client’s areas of concern and to treat them with appropriate deep tissue techniques. 

She is an avid runner; she has participated 15 times in the City to Surf and is now sharing her training methods with her daughter who is currently competing at State and National Levels in Athletics.

Nathan (Wed, Sun)

Nathan has been a personal trainer for the last decade. He has worked with clients ranging from sports specific needs to people getting back into exercise to improve their strength, mobility and longevity.

After a series of injuries in rugby and weightlifting, he discovered the benefits of remedial massage. He wanted to pass this on to his clients to help them recover from their injuries. Nathan has a firm and remedial style.

In his spare time you'll find Nathan training for his upcoming sprint triathlon, rock climbing/bouldering or competing in chess tournaments.

Rob (Tue, Wed)

Rob has 10 years experience working as a massage therapist.  He’s worked alongside several renowned Osteopaths and continues with David Vivian Jones in Double Bay.  Rob studied Remedial Massage at Randwick TAFE and also studied Anatomy at UNSW to deepen his knowledge. 

He’s caring and has a firm and therapeutic touch.  Rob is good at finding your problematic tension spots and releasing them.  In his free time he loves body surfing and is a self proclaimed “botany nerd”.

Tomomi (Thu, Fri)

Tomomi became interested in
massage when she learned of its benefits for terminal care patients.  She came to Sydney and completed the Diploma of Remedial Massage. She ended up being awarded top student of her class. 

Since then she has studied myofascial release, pregnancy massage and she’s become a Reiki Master. She has a preventative and holistic approach to her treatments. She mixes up her techniques from jaw work to myofascial release depending on the client presented to her.  She helps clients through all stages of pregnancy and post pregnancy. She’s gathered quite the following of clients at Haikoo the last 12 years!  In her spare time she enjoys being a mom and bringing up her 5 year old.

Dr. Felicity Marguin (Tue, Thu)

Masters in Osteopathy / Diploma of Remedial Massage

Felicity has been practicing as an Osteopath for over 10 years.  Her treatments consist of manipulations, soft tissue stretching, dry needling and taping to restore the body’s balance.  She’s very hands on as she practiced as a massage therapist for 7 years before she started her Masters in Osteopathy.  She also tutored and supervised in the Osteopathic Student Clinic at the University of Western Sydney.  

She seeks to prevent and treat disorders such as back and neck pain, headaches, joint pain, arthritis, repetitive strain injuries (RSI), vertigo, sciatica, sports injuries and tendonitis.  She also treats pelvic floor dysfunctions.  She strongly believes in aftercare and referrals to other practitioners when necessary.

Steven

Diploma of Remedial Massage

Stephen studied Remedial Massage 16 years ago. He was asked to teach at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies (ACNT) where he  taught all Clinical subjects including: remedial massage, musculoskeletal assessment, trigger points, massage assessment and referrals, myofascial release and sports massage. He taught at the college for 13 years and also ran the student clinic.


Stephen now does workshops and private tutorials for various clinics. He loves to teach with a strong emphasis on anatomy and combines his knowledge of myofascial release, trigger points, active tissue release and specific treatment plans. Every year he participates in the week long cycling Chain Reaction Challenge and in his spare time he enjoys the outdoors with his family in the national parks.
