Carl’s diverse experience in movement allows him to easily read his client’s holding patterns. Chuti originates from Thailand where she was a Registered Nurse in the Orthopaedic Ward. Massage was used at the hospital as a rehabilitative aid and that’s where she was introduced to the modality. She studied Thai Massage and then came to Australia to continue her studies. She also worked at St. Vincent Hospital in the Orthopaedic Ward for 8 years where she educated her patients on OH&S, postural awareness, stretching and giving recommendations and advise on self care and maintaining body function and mobility. Clients love to receive her massage treatments and recommendations. Chuti loves learning new modalities and studying how the body functions and moves. She also enjoys working out at the gym, swimming, gardening and both giving and receiving massage.

Jaak - Massage Therapist

Jaak was involved in martial arts as a young boy in Estonia. Then he went on to working in the circus and teaching kids different acts like juggling, uni-cycling and performing. He found his way to cheerleading and was a member of the number one team in Europe. A ruptured Achilles tendon forced him to take a break and during his recovery he was drawn to massage therapy. He came to Australia to further his studies in advanced techniques. In his spare time you can find Jaak keeping fit with calisthenics, acroyoga and slack-lining.

Jacqueline grew up in Canada and started long distance running at a young age. As a result of her constant training and tennis playing, she frequently had injuries which brought her to see different soft tissue therapists where her interest in bodywork started. She also has a background in Nursing and worked at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies supervising Massage students in the clinic. Her 13 years of experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist led her to open Haikoo Massage. She does Neurokinetic Therapy TM treatments which is a sophisticated form of manual therapy that combines movement assessment, motor control theory and manual muscle testing. Jenny grew up with Chinese medicine and always valued the benefits of natural therapies. Aside from receiving regular massage herself, Jenny uses her own massage skills to improve the performance of her 2 teenage sons who play competitive basketball. Her desire to create musculoskeletal changes, improve posture and decrease body aches and pain led her to specialise in deep tissue/ remedial massage. She tailors each treatment to suit her client’s individual needs incorporating a variety of techniques including myofascial release, trigger point therapy and deep tissue. Jenny is currently studying Chinese Medicine.

Margie is originally from New Zealand; she is friendly, authentic and has a beautiful healing energy.  Margie specializes in Deep Tissue, Remedial and Pregnancy Massage.  Her experience working with an Osteopath for the past 4 years has allowed her to quickly recognise the client’s areas of concern and to treat them with appropriate deep tissue techniques.  She is an avid runner; she has participated 15 times in the City to Surf and is now sharing her training methods with her daughter who is currently competing at State and National Levels in Athletics.

Neuda completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2002. She worked as a full time massage therapist for 5 years until she decided to take a break to look after her two sons. During this time she helped run her husband’s business and became a makeup artist. Neuda missed the satisfaction of helping her clients recover from injuries and pain so now she is back at massage school to further develop her skills and get registration with all health funds. Originally from Brazil, she loves cooking authentic Brazilian food and enjoys the challenge of making meals nutritious and keeping the whole family healthy.

Rossanna has been practicing Remedial Massage for 7 years. She gets to know her clients ailments from a physical point of view as well as an emotional view. On a personal level, Rossanna is as passionate about her wellbeing as her clients wellbeing. She maintains a healthy lifestyle by doing Yoga, power walking and cooking healthy food to stay fit and stress free. Her love of the outdoors and horseback riding originates from her childhood in South America where she was born, however as an Aussie, she learned to love the sea and grew up riding waves on her body board.

Sandra’s passion for health and wellbeing led her to complete a Bachelor of Science/ Major in Psychology focusing primarily on meditation and mental health. While studying at the University of Toronto, she was heavily into Crossfit and sustained multiple injuries over the years, resulting in two arthroscopies for torn menisci. Her rehabilitation post-surgery was what inspired Sandra to become a massage therapist. Her treatments are a combination of deep tissue and slow myofascial techniques aimed at providing relief from both acute and chronic issues. She is now doing her Masters in Nursing. Fun fact: in her spare time, Sandra can be found spinning fire on the beach.

Rob has 10 years experience working as a massage therapist.  He’s worked alongside several renowned Osteopaths and continues with David Vivian Jones in Double Bay.  Rob studied Remedial Massage at Randwick TAFE and also studied Anatomy at UNSW to deepen his knowledge.  He’s caring and has a firm and therapeutic touch.  Rob is good at finding your problematic tension spots and releasing them.   In his free time he loves body surfing and is a self proclaimed “botany nerd”.

Felicity has been practicing as an Osteopath for over 10 years.  Her treatments consist of manipulations, soft tissue stretching, dry needling and taping to restore the body’s balance.  She’s very hands on as she practiced as a massage therapist for 7 years before she started her Masters in Osteopathy.  She also tutored and supervised in the Osteopathic Student Clinic at the University of Western Sydney.  She seeks to prevent and treat disorders such as back and neck pain, headaches, joint pain, arthritis, repetitive strain injuries (RSI), vertigo, sciatica, sports injuries and tendonitis.  She also treats pelvic floor dysfunctions.  She strongly believes in aftercare and referrals to other practitioners when necessary.

Juliana’s interest in Functional Movement started when she was a kid in Colombia doing gymnastics for 15 years.  She went on to become a physiotherapist and worked in the Army in the Amputee Rehabilitation Ward and the Burns Unit. She moved to Australia in 2008 for further studies in manual therapy, fitness and Pilates. Her career has taken her into different fields of sports and musculoskeletal therapy in numerous practices across Sydney. This has led her to develop a good understanding working with neurological conditions and high level athletes using a functional training method.

Juliana aims to focus on patient goals by combining biomechanics with exercise based rehabilitation and education using the best evidence based practices.  She also understands the importance of tailoring each treatment specific to every client in order for them to achieve the best outcomes. Whether you are an elite athlete, have a chronic injury or condition, she can you get out of pain and return to work or sport and perform efficiently and optimally.

Juliana is currently furthering her education studying with the Postural Restoration Institute.  In her spare time you can find her doing free diving at the beach.  Her goal is to hold her breath for four minutes!

Marie is originally from Quebec, Canada and has been in the health and wellness industry for the past 8 years.  Marie transitioned from massage therapy to fitness training the last 4 years, as she wanted to enable people to become more independent in managing injuries and their overall health. She does this by encouraging her clients to connect with their body throughout their sessions. She believes that the brain-body connection, good exercise form and consistency are essential to maximise body functionality. As a trained remedial massage therapist she has a great knowledge of anatomy and physiology and has treated people suffering from lower back pain, shoulder dysfunction, pelvic tilt/torsion and knee issues. Marie’s practice of Restorative Fitness uses a variety of exercises and equipment to awaken new muscular innervation that will improve overall body strength, stability, reduce pain and increase ability to move with ease in different positions and shapes. It is all about finding the missing link with Marie!

Stephen studied Remedial Massage 16 years ago. He was asked to teach at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies (ACNT) where he  taught all Clinical subjects including: remedial massage, musculoskeletal assessment, trigger points, massage assessment and referrals, myofascial release and sports massage. He taught at the college for 13 years and also ran the student clinic.

Stephen now does workshops and private tutorials for various clinics. He loves to teach with a strong emphasis on anatomy and combines his knowledge of myofascial release, trigger points, active tissue release and specific treatment plans. Every year he participates in the week long cycling Chain Reaction Challenge and in his spare time he enjoys the outdoors with his family in the national parks.
