Haikoo Massage specialises in Remedial Massage, Osteopathy and Floatation Therapy.  All of our therapists are minimum Diploma or University educated and trained in various modalities. Health Fund rebates available through HICAPS.  This busy 4 room clinic is situated in the vibrant hub of Charing Cross just a 10 minute walk from Bondi Junction.

Anita has a background as a Pharmacy Technician but it was her work as Sport’s Event Manager for the Olympic Foundation in Budapest that led her to want to be more hands on with clients. She saw the amazing benefits that physical therapy had on the athletes. In Australia, she has been working with the NRL teams and is now broadening her skills by studying Oncology massage and Lymphatic Drainage. Her eye for detail helps her to adjust her treatment style to cater to the client’s individual needs.

Barbara has been practicing Remedial Massage for over 7 years and Naturopathy 4 years. She likes to find the areas of tension and uses the breath and remedial techniques to get into the deeper layers of the muscles. She’s lived in the USA, Ireland, France and Germany but has now settled in Australia as she loves the warm Australian weather and beaches. She enjoys running, swimming, Pilates, taking in rescue cats and finding different ways to reduce her carbon footprint.

Chuti originates from Thailand where she was a Registered Nurse in the Orthopaedic Ward. Massage was used at the hospital as a rehabilitative aid and that’s where she was introduced to the modality. She studied Thai Massage and then came to Australia to continue her studies. She also worked at St. Vincent Hospital in the Orthopaedic Ward for 6 years where she educated her patients on OH&S, postural awareness, stretching and giving recommendations and advise on self care and maintaining body function and mobility. Clients love to receive her massage treatments and recommendations. She enjoys working out at the gym, swimming, gardening and both giving and receiving massage.

Felicity has been practicing as an Osteopath for over 10 years.  Her treatments consist of manipulations, soft tissue stretching, dry needling and taping to restore the body’s balance.  She’s very hands on as she practiced as a massage therapist for 7 years before she started her Masters in Osteopathy.  She also tutored and supervised in the Osteopathic Student Clinic at the University of Western Sydney.  She seeks to prevent and treat disorders such as back and neck pain, headaches, joint pain, arthritis, repetitive strain injuries (RSI), vertigo, sciatica, sports injuries and tendonitis.  She also treats pelvic floor dysfunctions.  She strongly believes in aftercare and referrals to other practitioners when necessary.

Jacqueline grew up in Canada and started long distance running at a young age. As a result of her constant training and tennis playing, she frequently had injuries which brought her to see different soft tissue therapists where her interest in bodywork started. She also has a background in Nursing and worked at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies supervising Massage students in the clinic. Her 13 years of experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist led her to open Haikoo Massage. She does Neurokinetic Therapy TM treatments which is a sophisticated form of manual therapy that combines movement assessment, motor control theory and manual muscle testing. NKT identifies the cause of pain and dysfunctional movement patterns and works to reprogram these dysfunctions. Ask her if you’d like to have some testing done or book in for a full Neurokinetic Therapy Treatment.

Jenny grew up with Chinese medicine and always valued the benefits of natural therapies. Aside from receiving regular massage herself, Jenny uses her own massage skills to improve the performance of her 2 teenage sons who play competitive basketball. Her desire to create musculoskeletal changes, improve posture and decrease body aches and pain led her to specialise in deep tissue/ remedial massage. She tailors each treatment to suit her client’s individual needs incorporating a variety of techniques including myofascial release, trigger point therapy and deep tissue.

Juliana trained as a physiotherapist in Colombia. Over the years, she gained a lot of experience working at The Army Hospital in the Amputee Rehabilitation Ward and the Burns Unit in Columbia. She has an in depth knowledge of human anatomy and biomechanics which allows her to assist clients with their injuries. She specializes in rehabilitation and exercise prescription. She may incorporate joint mobilization, sports taping, modern cupping or stretching into her treatment.  Juliana is also a Personal Trainer at the Institute of Neurofitness where she assesses and designs programs using Functional Movement Training to rehab her clients.

Margie is originally from New Zealand; she is friendly, authentic and has a beautiful healing energy.  Margie specializes in Deep Tissue, Remedial and Pregnancy Massage.  Her experience working with an Osteopath for the past 4 years has allowed her to quickly recognise the client’s areas of concern and to treat them with appropriate deep tissue techniques.  She is an avid runner; she has participated 15 times in the City to Surf and is now sharing her training methods with her daughter who is currently competing at State and National Levels in Athletics.

Sandra’s passion for health and wellbeing led her to complete a Bachelor of Science/ Major in Psychology focusing primarily on meditation and mental health. While studying at the University of Toronto, she was heavily into Crossfit and sustained multiple injuries over the years, resulting in two arthroscopies for torn menisci. Her rehabilitation post-surgery was what inspired Sandra to become a massage therapist. Her treatments are a combination of deep tissue and slow myofascial techniques aimed at providing relief from both acute and chronic issues. She is now doing her Masters in Nursing. Fun fact: in her spare time, Sandra can be found spinning fire on the beach.

She likes to integrate and blend different techniques that facilitate the release of the muscles.  Tina has found Reflexology and abdominal massage particularly beneficial in relieving digestive issues.  Her treatments are very calming on the mind and her warm personality reflects her time studying Buddhism at a Tibetan Monastery in India. Recently she was living in Sri Lanka massaging and studying Yoga.
